About the Organization

The Pythian Sisters is a non-sectarian order with members throughout the United States and Canada. The order, an independent auxiliary of the Knights of Pythias, was founded on October 23, 1888 in Warsaw, Indiana.

The work of the Pythian Sisters cover a broad field. It is not confined to our local Temple nor to the field of Pythianism. We will be interested in public affairs on national, state, and local levels. We will be advocates for the social betterment of the communities in which we live. We will bring the spirit of friendship and good will among all women.

Our mission is to bring women together and provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow through the principles of the Pythian Sisters.
